This application, built in Microsoft Access, provides World of Warcraft players with tools to run an in-game business at their faction's auction house. The tools manage the cost of goods, appraised value and stop-loss metrics, as well as projections of disenchanting profit. Designed to work with data provided by Auctioneer, one of the most popular and useful WoW addons, the application provides everything an enterprising auction mule needs to turn a profit in the world of Azeroth.
Main Screen
From the main screen, the user can access the application's functionality, as well as set up multiple auctioneer accounts (if you manage auctions on multiple servers) and client accounts (allowing you to provide a "consignment" business to your guildmates and friends).
Manage Inventory Screen
The inventory management screen, allows the user to input new stock, make changes to existing stock, set appraisal and stoploss values, process and track expired auctions (and automatically track lost deposits - the biggest cost of doing business at the auction house), and provides a rich suite of sorts, searches and filters.
Posting Screen
This screen is used when the auctioneer is at the auction house. It allows the user to track the posting of each item as well as make crucial decisions such as when and how to liquidate an unprofitable item.
Payout Management Screen
Sooner or later, you'll have to pay off your investors, and this page makes it a snap. Simply select the client from the drop-down menu and press "Go". The form populates with the items the client has sold, their profits and losses, and the total due to the seller. Press "Generate" and a formatted list of the results will be saved to your clipboard, which you can then paste into an in-game main message to send to your client. |
